Back on the Blogging Wagon (BLA Day #27)

Hi my name is Stacy and it has been 10 days since my last blog post. My original idea of a Blog Love Affair (BLA) was to write and post consecutively for 30 days. And then, life just gets in the way and I look over at my computer and it is 10:30 at night and I cannot bring myself to generate enough energy to open the laptop. Then there are the days that I do manage to open the silver Mac only to shield my eyes from the bright screen and before I can click on my blog I get sucked into headlines about Angelina Jolie which eventually takes me three hours later to Pinterest and I look at the clock and it is 1:30 am and my head hits the desk and I roll to bed completely ashamed of the time I have just wasted. Damn you Angelina.

Oh but I have been writing in my journals. I have some great stories and random thoughts scribbled in pages with barely legible handwriting as I feverishly jot fleeting stories down at the pool, or red lights or quiet moments I am able to steal. I love the freedom I feel when a thought is released onto paper; it is no longer running circles in my head or begging at the door to go out, it is acknowledged and it is free itself to become what it wants. Maybe its' only appearance will be on this very paper, never to be heard from again, or maybe it is destined for bigger things, a story, a blog post, a great conversation to have with a friend.

This past weekend I traveled on a train by myself to Philadelphia to visit a childhood friend. Spending five hours on a train each way by myself gave me a lot of time to write. However for a majority of the time I just looked blankly out the window. The solitude and the rhythmic sound of the train created a space I was so unfamiliar with yet so completely content in holding. I promise to share more about that trip, my visit with one of my favorite childhood gal pals, and some thoughts that I jotted down in random places (like a tatoo shop). For now this post is too long and my eyes are starting to close, but this blogging baby is back on the wagon train.

Love & Light,

Here are just a few photos taken out of the train or car windows with my iPhone.

Yes Karen made me run to the top of the Rocky steps!! #153 knocked off my bucket list!!
And despite a deep inherent desire, I did not scream "ADRIANNE!!"

I love this photo.
