A Blog Warming Party

Welcome to my new blog! I feel as though I have been working on this for months. I have not let Brian look at it so he would be able to experience the unveiling when the blog was all put together. Here is our conversation last night:

Me: "Hey, tomorrow I am going to point my domain name off of the old blog site and direct it to the new one I have been working on for so long."

Brian: (Worried look) "I am afraid I am not going to..."

Me: (Interrupting) "Know what to wear? Casual attire is fine, maybe a dress shirt with khakis."

Brian: (Smiling) "No. I am afraid that I am not going to react with the level of excitement that equals the amount of work you have spent on it."

Me: "Fake it then. Drink heavily and prepare to gush."

So with huge gratitude to Carrie of Carrie Loves Design, who designed the blog and photography section. She maintained nothing but professional kindness as I tried to speak "techie talk" to explain what I was looking for in a new blog. She used (what I can only imagine as) magic wands, fairy dust and behind the scene tricks that I do not even pretend to understand to have the blog reflect the feel I wanted for it.

Thank you to Brian who went to bed without me too many nights as I sit working on resizing photos, importing, exporting, reading and researching. And of course my boys, who may have had cereal for dinner a few nights too many as I was working on the blog.

And to my family, my girlfriends and random strangers who say they enjoy reading my thoughts and looking at my world through my camera lens, thank you for all the love and support.

Love & Light,

Here are snapshots of our world at Thanksgiving.

Brian and Chef Cheyne

Best buddies.

The biggest turkey
The kids table. Shirt, shoes and sitting in your chair, optional.
Nolan, leaf jumping.

The boys attempting to catch a squirrel.
A box arrived at our house, the boys made cars, houses and trains out of it.

This is how I found Cole when I went to check on him before bed.
