A Quarter For Your Thoughts

Cole is at the age where he is fascinated with money. He wants to know where it comes from, how much everything costs and more importantly how he can get some! So when I told him about how I used to sell lemonade in front of my house when I was little, his 6-year-old entrepreneur brain lit up. What could he sell? Since I was fresh out of lemonade and cups, he and his good buddy Miles and Miles' little bro, Owen, started making "marshmallow candy creations".

Thank God I have wonderful neighbors who either took pity on the boys or could not say no to their sweet little faces but they made $8.00 sitting out there. You would have thought they struck gold. I was reminded of my sister, my childhood best buddy Holly and myself as we sat patiently in front of our house with cups of grape Kool Aid and grande ideas of what we would do with all the money we would make.

We never made big bucks at our little Kool Aid stand, but we had lots of fun trying.
