Snow White with a Tan

I opened our front door a few nights ago to find deer in the driveway, bull frogs in the door frame and it is rumored that the red fox also frequents the pond next to us. I am feeling a bit like a bronzed Snow White with the herons, turtles, crabs, ravens and sea gulls that will practically eat out of my hands.

We drove a few miles up the road to visit the wild horses and took the chance that our non 4 wheel drive truck would make it onto the beach. We drove down the shore line feeling a bit like the gang from Baywatch (minus Pamela Anderson's gigantic boobs and David Hasselhof's suave), and there they were... horses. Just walking on the beach. It was beautiful and not something you see everyday.

I think if I am reincarnated I would like to be a wild horse living on the beach, running full speed in the open ocean air. It would be slightly annoying to have paparazzi like myself taking thousands of photographs, but I suppose I would become accustomed to that. However my luck I will come back as a frog that my boys catch and attempt to shove in their pockets to keep for later. I'll try to make sure they treat all the frogs with respect so as not to create any karmic fate for future incarnations.

Here are some photos from today.

Love & Light,

Stacy

  3. Stacy, Your pictures are amazing. Doesn't it feel like another world ? I love going there. Once we went in the rain, saw nothing. The first time was the best. Huge waves, lots of mist, it was evening. A perfect setting. Not of our daily life.
Enjoy the last days. Boo Hoo !

  4. Yes, it does feel like another world! I am still in awe of the horses. Even the millions of frogs amaze me! Did you book the house for next year yet? Next summer baby Hanna will be a year old! Perfect time to go to the beach! Hugs to the family!
