If You Build It, They Will Come

My outdoor thermometer read 92.1 degrees today. The kind of day you would love to curl up in a hammock swing with a good book and just be. Or... chase two crazy kids through sprinklers, pull them out of puddles and rationalize why we can't fill water balloons. I took Nolan to the Children's Museum today down in the city to meet my good friend Angie and her adorable kiddos. While there, photographs were framed around the museum for the Heart Gallery. They are photographs of children in foster care or group homes looking for adoptive families. And there were TWO of my photographs, large and framed on the wall. I was SO excited! I wish I had my camera on me to take a photo of them. It was the first time I have had my work displayed like that.

We have been clearing and cleaning out the woods next to our house. After a day of raking, weeding, and lifting LARGE rocks, I feel as though I have been hit by a truck. But sitting on the newly landscaped lot taking these photos of my boys, SO worth the pain.

Love & Light,
