Be MY Valentine...

I admittedly do not have the best memory. I always cringe at that question I have been asked about what my FIRST memory is. I search the depths of my brain (which often feels like a black hole of nothingness) and come up with a carnival that I went to  around 6 years old. I just don't remember events or moments of time with the clarity that others seem to. (But I do question those people who recall being in the womb or really anything as an infant...). That being said, seeing my kids go through new life stages has started to trigger some earlier memories...like...

Valentines Day Parties...

Attending Cole's party at school and working on making valentines for his little friends has brought about a few memories and a slight anxiety I could not name. Maybe I ate too  many candy hearts but I REMEMBER writing my valentines in Kindergarten. I had a crush on the same boy K-8th grade (as did most the other girls... Jimmy), and I would meticulously choose what valentine went to whom and in particular which one Jimmy would get. And then when I would get my coveted valentines home, I would look at the one he gave me and read WAY too much into it.  Did he really want to Be MY Valentine or did he give that same card to ALL the girls? Brian says he gave the same card to all the ladies. Of course he did. And watching Cole randomly choose and sign his cards, he is probably right. Sigh....

Here are some SWEET photos from Cole's party at school.

Making his list...

The above photo I entered for Day 10 of the Joy of Love Photography prompt through www.willettedesigns.com. Today's theme is Space- where they are comfortable. This is Cole's space at school...

The treat bags...

I have "heard" that Riley & Cole are going to get married. He denies any interest in girls but  he likes her. She did wear a full football uniform for sports day. Cole 's kind of girl!

The Moms did such a cute job decorating!
