Merry Chizukmas...

"What is Christmas?  It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future.  It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace."~Agnes M. Pahro

We arrived back in Richmond tonight. Christmas has come and gone. There is always a little bit of a holiday hangover. Kind of like your wedding day. You spend a year preparing, thousands of dollars on the dress, the florist, the reception, etc... And then before you know it you are watching a video from 12 years ago looking at yourself in awe. Is that really me?  I once read something about memories not being about recalling specific details of an event but how you felt when you recalled the moment. And both my wedding day and being with family at Christmas time, made me happy.

Each year there are always Christmas memories that make me smile. This year I will remember the whole Chizuk family singing the Star Wars theme song as Nolan opened ALL of his Star Wars gifts (because Nolan sings the song ALL the time).  And I will remember holding my sweet nephew Parker for the first time. Smelling his baby breath and his sweet baby smell. I will remember laughing hysterically as Charlie (my in-laws new puppy) is chased in the snow by Cole and Brian because he stole their football.  I will remember my oldest niece Hailey, as she opened and loved the necklace I found for her and my beautiful SIX nieces playing with my boys. Just like cousins do.

Below are just a few photos from our Chizuk Christmas. Memories frozen in a digital second. Years later we will look back and not remember the gifts we received but the company we were in.

Love & Light,

Stacy
