Book Worm...

Despite all the new technology out that has people downloading books onto digital devices, I will never EVER tire of a good old fashioned book. I love the way an old book smells and how the binding allows the pages to fall so that you don't need to hold them open. I love a new book and the creaking sound it makes when I open it for the first time. I love book stores and if given a whole day to myself would wander through maze like isles at the library just browsing the endless array of authors and titles.

My bedside table has at least five books stacked up on each other. All different genres from parenting books to spiritual books to camera manuals, fictional dramas and classic tales. It depends what kind of mood I am in as to which book I choose to read before bed. One of my favorite authors that writes spiritual books is Wayne Dyer. I told Brian that there are only two men I would leave him for, Brad Pitt and Wayne Dyer. Dr. Dyer is in his 70's and when you hear him speak and read his books,  you just want to absorb every word he says into your way of thinking. (Easier read than done!)

Reading takes me beyond the boundaries of my vision of the world and gives me insight into other realities. I feel as though books are like people. You are meant to read or receive them at certain times in your life. Maybe for a good laugh, a much needed cry, a though-provoking lesson or just to escape the everyday.

Here are some photos from today.

Love & Light,

Stacy

Nolan, my thumb sucker. He was watching Christmas specials, with his blankie and thumb. LOVE!

Wayne groupie... (And yes I have read them all, some more than once...)

Just a few of my huge book collection
