The Queen of Paper Plates

Yes, that is me. I use paper plates 95% of the time. This is not something I am proud of. But out of convenience and laziness, paper plates have become a family staple.  But today, when crawling through the attic to bring down the Christmas decorations, I saw the box of china. I think it has been in the attic for about 5  years. Much to Brian's dismay I brought it down with the other boxes. Life is too short to use paper plates all the time, I told him. He just looked at me and shook his head, thinking the same thing I was but would not say out loud. We have no where to store them and they will sit in the overcrowded closet unused.

So I unpacked the plates. They are so pretty and Brian is so right. I have no where to put them. So this morning when I pulled out a paper plate to put the boys toast on, I thought for a split second about using a nice plate. Then the thought of hand washing it, the chance of the boys breaking it and the extra work to put it back in dining room cupboard swayed my decision to go paper. If life is too short for paper plates than I guess I would rather spend it not washing the china.

Love & Light,
